Renzo Costa

Renzo Costa got the high school degree in Aeronautic Constructions and the bachelor in Architecture. Afterward he built a significant experience abroad: in 1976 he won an international competition in Syria, in 1978 he designed the Bank Institute of San Paulo in Brazil and a huge number of holiday resorts in Uruguay and Sudan.

In 1980 he founded his own studio Studio Costa Progettazioni in Rome focusing his activities in the fields of the Architectonic Planning, Projects Management and Interior Design.

In 1989 he won the national competition for the planning and the furnishings of the Grand Hotel Leon D'Oro of Verona. In 1994 he designed the Hotet Ritz in Moscow.

From 1994 he has been the consultant for the planning of important hotels chains such as Star Hotel, Saber Great Hotels, Sofi, Chefer, Disia Hotel, Hotel Valadier Group and Hilton Hotel.

In 1999 he gained the Miami Prize for the realization of the best building of the year 1999 (Brickel Bay Beach Tower in the category “500 Pdq”).

In Venice he planned the Hotel Ponte dei Sospiri. In 2002 he developed for the "Carretti Family Group" the resort Sanctuary Cave of  S.Thomas (Los Angeles) as well as the Mille Miglia Club in Palm Springs.

In 2001 he designed a new hotel of n°160 rooms and the Conference Center in Malpensa – Milan (Una Hotel&Resorts), ended in 2005.  In the same year in Milan he designed the Hotel Scandinavia
In 2004 he designed the new conference center for the Hotel Cavalieri Hilton in Rome, the Politeck multiplexes and the Condotti Gallery becoming the global designer for the restyling of the Hotel. Was in charged of the design of the GAT Museum – Angelo Terruzzi  Foundation and the restaurant La Pergola three Michelin stars for the executive chef Hainz Beck when the Hilton Hotel became part of Waldorf Astoria Collection. For the brand Billionaire Italian Couture of Flavio Briatore he was responsible for the image of the administrative offices in London, he has planned the new stores opening in London, Tokyo, Vienna, Porto Cervo, Las Vegas and Moscow, the Harrod's flagship store in London and the exhibition stand for the Luxury‐ please of Vienna.

In 2007 he planned the rebuilding of the Grand Hotel Park in Dubrovnik (280 rooms) and Residence Hotel in Podgora (Croatia), while in Piemonte he was in charge with the desing of  Golf Resort - the Vines of Barolo (Golf field of 18 holes included).

On 2008 he starts an ongoing professional relation with Agusta Westland with the design of the new Auditorium  in Vergiate (Milan), in the same year he takes care of the restyling of Petra Bianca Hotel Resort  at Cala di Volpe (Porto Cervo) Sardinia and realizes  Borrelli shops in Boston, New York and San Francisco.

In 2009 he designs the new atelier and offices of the stylist Angelo Galasso in London.

In 2010 he wins the competition published by Italia Turismo for planning the new village Valtur in Simeri Crichi and the village of Club Med in Otranto, during the same period Flavio Briatore charges him with planning the offices Formula 1 in the Principality of Monaco.

In 2011 well-known brands, such as Eddy Monetti group, Raphael and Luciano Padovan  commission him to design new shops in Rome and Milan.

In 2011 he plans for Agusta Westland the new Hangar Delivery Helicopters fly-line and the Hangar Prototype.

In 2011 he plans the new style of the Philip Morris Italia's based in Rome.

In 2011 he realizes the Holiday Village, Congress Centre and Spa of Riva Splendente in Ostuni. And again for Una Hotel&Resorts planned the new hotel in the city center of Rome.

During 2011 he takes the charge to project and mount the exhibition Lo Stile Italiano: 150 anni di Arte e Design advertised by the Italian Embassy of the Principality of Monaco under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic and of His Royal Highness Alberto II, Prince of Monaco.

In 2012 he realizes the new Barcelò village in Simeri Crichi (CZ) and he plans the connection Walkway in Agusta Westland headquarters in Vergiate (VA).

In 2013  he developed the new concept design for Tonino Lamborghini Hotels and he was in charge for the Tonino Lamborghini shops design project. In the same year he projects Ginza Food Experience restaurant inside the Tour Odeon in Monte Carlo, the New Agusta Westland show room in Cascina Costa (VA) and Award photography Foundation in Dubai.

In 2014 started the restyling of the Aran Park Hotel - Barcelò in Rome.

Ongoing collaborations with international interior design companies such as Reggiani Illuminazione Spa, Estel International Spa and Cross Design srl.
